1. Purpose
- This Assessment Policy establishes the principles, standards, and procedures for evaluating learner performance across all training programs at Critical Science Academy.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure:
- Fair, valid, and reliable assessment practices
- Alignment with learning outcomes

- Recognition of learner competence
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- All trainees enrolled in training programs
- All trainers and assessors
- All assessment activities conducted through the Learning Management System (LMS) or in-person
3. Assessment Methods
Assessment methods may include, but are not limited to:

- Practical skills assessments
- Case-based evaluations
- Assignments or projects
- Participation-based evaluation (where applicable)
Assessment methods are determined based on the course design and learning objectives.
4. Assessment Standards
All assessments must:
- Align with course learning outcomes
- Be fair, objective, and unbiased
- Follow predefined evaluation criteria
- Be appropriate to the level and nature of the course
5. Passing Criteria
- Participants must meet the minimum requirements defined for each course to successfully pass.
Passing criteria may include:
- Achieving a minimum score
- Successfully completing practical components
- Meeting participation or engagement requirements (if applicable)
6. Reassessment (Retake Policy)
- Participants who do not meet the required criteria may be eligible for reassessment, where applicable
- The number of attempts and conditions for reassessment are determined by the Academy based on course requirements
- Additional fees may apply for reassessment where applicable
7. Academic Integrity
- Participants must adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity.
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Cheating or plagiarism
- Impersonation or unauthorized assistance
- Sharing or distributing assessment content
Violations may result in:
- Disqualification from the assessment
- Denial of certification
- Suspension or termination of access
8. Assessment Results
- Results are communicated through the LMS or official communication channels
- The Academy reserves the right to review, verify, and amend results where necessary
9. Appeals
- Participants may submit an appeal regarding assessment results within a specified timeframe.
- All appeals will be reviewed in accordance with the Academy’s internal procedures, and decisions shall be final.
10. Confidentiality
- All assessment materials and results are confidential and handled in accordance with the Academy’s Privacy Policy.
11. Policy Updates
- Critical Science Academy reserves the right to update or modify this Assessment Policy at any time.
- Any changes will become effective upon publication on the Academy’s website.
12. Policy Acceptance
- By enrolling in any course, participants acknowledge and agree to comply with this Assessment Policy.
